Croatia is a small country in the northwest part of the Balkan peninsula on the coast of the Adriatic sea (Sea to the right of Italy).
The capital is Zagreb and the next biggest city is Split, this one is on the coast. Both these cities have gained much popularity and make Croatia the 8th most popular tourist destination in the world.
Croatia is famous for a couple things:
- Dalmatian dog. This breed has its origin form the Dalamtian region.
- The necktie. Originally worn by Coratian soldiers.
- Vegeta. Universal food seasoning used for improving dishes and rounding their flavor
Croatia’s rare blend of glamour and old-fashioned authenticity make this Europe’s ‘it’ destination, where beaches and sunshine vie for attention with cultural treasures, ancient architecture and time-tested folk traditions (Lonely Planet, 2012).
